Tension Rife in a Uasin Gishu Estate After Leaflets Warning Outsiders to Leave Were Dropped
Tension is high in an Eldoret estate after leaflets warning a certain ethnic group were discovered on Sunday morning. The hatred messages were dropped at Kipkaren estate in Kapsaret constituency.

The police are now probing the origin of leaflets written in Kiswahili asking the outsiders to vacate their land.

The hatred leaflets read: “Kipkaren iko na wenyewe (Kipkaren has its owners).”

“Na yale mashamba yumeyaweka fence pia aguse aone moto. Hii ni 2021 hatutaki madoadoa Kipkaren (Even the farms that have been fenced – try touching them and you will see. This is 2021 and we don’t want outsiders in Kipkaren.)”

The area residents lead my Mau Kipkaren elders are urging the police to quickly probe the origin of the leaflets.
