Standard Group Chief of Staff Laban Cliff Onserio is in police custody after being found with an explosive at a church on Sunday.
Onserio, was on Sunday found by the Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) with the explosives outside Holy Family Basilica Church in the parking lot as he attempted to access the church which was full with congregates.
Reports at Kahawa Law Courts revealed that Onserio had allegedly started threatening members of the public with an imminent attack using the device.
“The respondent is a journalist and owner of motor vehicle registration number KDE was arrested yesterday at the Holy family basilica basement following an incident and was in possession of a flash-bang training system model 7290T. He threatened the public while holding the said grenade,” reads court papers.
Upon receiving an alarm that there was an impending terror attack at the church, Multi-agency team swang into action and arrested him immediately before he detonate the explosive.
Investigating detectives believe that considering he had no authorization to be in possession of such explosives, he might be in possession of more hence needed time to do thorough investigations.
