A college girl in Mwingi town is fighting for her life after a young man who they fellowship in the same church stabbed her 3 times.
Faith Makau, 20-year-old Utalii College, Kitui Campus says that it is a miracle that she is alive.
According to Makau, she met the suspect outside her rented room as she was going to purchase airtime.
It is then that he requested her to help him carry musical instruments from his house to the church.
Makau alleged that the 24-year-old man who she knew well stabbed her three times in the abdomen.
This is after telling Faith that he wanted her and has shown a lot of signs to her but she ignored him and never showed any interest.
Police reports recorded by Faith said that when they reached at the man's house, she saw two kitchen knives on the table but that did not raise any alarms that he could attempt to ****.
Few moments, the suspect became aggressive and locked the door, hiding his keys, something that made Faith uncomfortable.
Threatening her, the aggressor is said to have told her that if he was not going to have her then no one was going to. It is then that he took a knife and cut her index finger before stabbing her in the stomach.
Not screaming, Faith pretended to be dead after he stabbed her two more times. Convinced that Faith had died, the suspect walked out of the house only for him to reappear as she tried to call for help.
Faith then begged him not to **** her but instead take her to hospital or carry and abandon her someone where she could get help.
Trying to attack her again, Faith screamed prompting neighbors to come to her rescue, saved and rushed her to Mwingi Level 4 Hospital.
The suspect was apprehended by residents who were angry and wanted to lynch him.
However, he was lucky enough that police managed to reach at the scene and rescued him.
He was rushed to Kitui County Referral Hospital where he is under police custody and protection as residents are maneuvering around the hospital as they tried to get access of him.
According to the suspect, Faith Makau has been rejecting his advances despite him asking her out for a while.
The suspect is expected to be Charged with an attempted when he gets discharged from hospital.
The suspect identified as Caleb is said to have left behind a death note where he requested Faith's and his parents to attend their burial and make sure that they bury them in the same grave.
