Mt.Kenya Leaders Deny Endorsing Raila For 2022 Presidential Elections, Gov.Waiguru names the Leader They will Elect

Mt Kenya Leaders have dismissed claims that they have endorsed Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as President Uhuru 2022 preferred successor issuing fresh details.

According to Governor Waiguru, she has informed that what they are doing in the Mt Kenya region is coming up with a formidable team that will help drive the communities agenda to come the year 2022 informing that there is no place they have sat to discuss Raila Odinga's statehouse bid.

The Kirinyaga Governor has informed that as the Mt Kenya leaders they are currently in consultation of who to back in the year 2022 as the vote-rich bloc adding that they want a leader who will articulate Mt Kenya region issues.
"There has been speculation that we are leaning towards Raila Odinga, that is not true. What we are doing is consultations so whoever we think will articulate our issues is the one we will back,” Waiguru has said on Saturday to the press after the Laikipia meeting.

The remarks by Waiguru have been supported by his counterpart from Kiambu County Governor James Nyoro, Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege, Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni, and former Nairobi County Speaker Beatrice Elachi.
Governor Waiguru has informed that as the leaders from the Central region they want a presidential candidate who will address the problems the region has been facing for a long time naming farming, youth employment, and business among problems.

Muranga Woman Representative Hon Sabina Chege has said that the Nt Kenya region will speak in one voice come 2022 rubbishing claims that they have settled on Raila's presidency.
“As a region, we must speak in one voice. this will be achieved when we converge since we must speak in one voice,” said Sabina remarked.
