Attention drivers! Consider this a friendly reminder that Massachusetts inspection stickers are changing color in January! Massachusetts inspection stickers will change to a new color for 2024, so please take note of the impending switch.
If you get a Red “R” your vehicle failed inspection. This indicates that the vehicle is not safe to operate on public roads and must be repaired immediately!
If you get a Black “R”, your vehicle failed its emissions test, and repairs must be made. The car must pass a re-test within 60 days.
So please take a look in the bottom right side of your vehicles windshield, to make sure that your inspection sticker is up to date.
