Health DG Patrick Amoth becomes first Kenyan to receive Covid-19 vaccine

Ministry of Health Director General Dr. Patrick Amoth on Friday,March 5 became first Kenyan and health worker to receive the Covid-19 vaccine at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Already ten Kenyans have been inoculated and have assured citizens that the vaccinated as it is safe and free for all.

“We will offer ourselves to be vaccinates today (Friday). Let us portray the correct message to the public,” he said.
The seconds to receive the jab was KNH Chief Executive Officer Dr. Evanson Kamuri. Kamuri was then followed by a nurse at the hospital.

After the vaccination, they were asked to sign a consent note.

The first ten were then directed to rest for 30 minutes before being discharged.
