Woman Accuses Laikipia Woman Rep. Cate Waruguru of Snatching Her Husband
A Mombasa-based businesswoman has accused Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru of ruining her marriage.

Zippy Njoki claims that Waruguru snatched her husband, Peter Waweru Njogu, who has since abandoned his family.

She told The Nairobian that Waweru was a loving and caring husband and father until he met Ms. Waruguru.

Njoki said her husband did not even bother to invite his family to his recent graduation ceremony. “He confessed that he had found a new catch in 2019 and moved out in 2020,’’ said Njoki.

The two reportedly tied the knot in a colorful church wedding in 2010 and have three children together.

Njoki has been living with her kids at their matrimonial home in Bamburi, Mombasa since her husband left last year until this week when Waweru arrived in the company of Waruguru with an intent to evict her from the house.

The mother of three reported the attempted eviction at Bamburi Police Station.

A police report indicates that her estranged husband stormed her home at noon in the company of Waruguru and four other people, where they attacked her and damaged her phone worth Sh121,000. The incident is under investigation.

On this year’s Valentine’s Day, Waruguru shared a photo of her with Waweru in a car. “Happy Lover’s Day my hun,” she captioned the photo. On Wednesday, she posted a photo of herself and Waweru captioning it, “Itz what its…..Love blossom.”
