The country’s top newspapers reported on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s meeting with party leaders supporting the Building Bridges Initiative (BB) in State House on Thursday, February 25.

One of the dailies also reported on ODM’s decision to grant aspirants more time even as Raila Odinga is yet to declare his interest in the top seat come 2022.

According to the daily, a referendum could be held by May, 2021 after President Uhuru Kenyatta held a meeting various political leaders on Thursday, February 25 in State House.

The team is set to hold a consultative meeting with MPs and counties leadership on March 9, 2021.,

The team was formed aftet the president held a four-hour closed-door meeting with various political leaders in State House.

“We will undertake civic education to sensitiSe the entire Kenyan nation on the opportunities that lie for our homeland and nation as part of this initiative,” the leaders said in a statement read by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.
