PRIME SUSPECT in the ****** of four family members and a farmhand in Karura, Kiambu County, arrested by DCI detectives. Simon Warunge, 22, eldest son in the family of the deceased Nicholas Warunge, was hiding in Lower Kabete.
Detectives have arrested 22-year-old Lawrence Simon Warunge, the prime suspect in the killing of five people in Kiambu.
The suspect who is the eldest son in the family and a student at a private university was nabbed at his hideout in Lower Kabete, Kiambu County.
“Also arrested to assist our officers with investigations is a lady believed to be his girlfriend, who sells goods at Biafra in Thika,” the DCI said.
Search for the ****** weapons is currently ongoing.
The five family members were brutally murdered by unknown assailants at their home in Kagongo Karura village in Kiambaa.
The killers raided the home of Njoroge Warunge and hacked him to death before turning their weapons on the wife, his two children and nephew.
