Prior to the celebrations, President William Ruto had promised a 16 module course unit that could be offered by the University.

During his speech, he directed the attendees to access the scholarship by scanning a QR-Code on their seats for them to register.

The course is approximated to cost around Ksh.100,000 and will be offered Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona state University that will majorly navigate around digital world.

However, majority of Kenyans who attended the celebrations failed to secure the said free course.images (6).jpeg

Lamenting, they said that due to lack of smartphones, they found it difficult for them to access the online courses.

They accused the government of Ruto of not putting Kenyans from low backgrounds who cannot afford smartphones into consideration.

'I would live to know where these scholarships are being accessed, we heard it on television but I have not seen it," disappointed Kenyan lamented.
