Kenyan boy, 16, survives flight from London to Holland after clinging on landing gear

A Kenyan boy has survived a hour-long flight from London to Holland and after clinging on the plane’s landing gear.

According to reports, the 16-year-old was found was found on a Turkish Airlines cargo jet that landed at Maastricht airport.

The boy whose identitity has not been revealed is currently in hospital with hypothermia.

Authorities said the teenager was lucky to be alive as a number of other people have frozen to death trying the same thing.

The authorities explained that the deaths were because of the sub-zero temperatures at high altitude.

Reports indicated that the plane had originally departed from Nairobi heading to to Istanbul in Turkey, then on to Stansted before making another flight to Maastricht.

The spokesperson said there was nothing to suggest the teenage stowaway my have entered the plane in London.

Detectives in Limburg, Turkey, have launched investigations into a possible human trafficking in connection to the lucky Kenyan boy.
“The Marechaussee in Limburg is conducting further investigations into, among other things, possible human smuggling in connection with the stowaway found near the landing gear of an aircraft at Maastricht Aachen Airport. The presumably 16-year-old Kenyan boy is doing reasonably well,” the police said.
