On Thursday, was excited to see that the first ever ship to depart from Lamu Port was carrying 80-ton cargo of Kenyan avocados destined for France. In 2020, Kenya’s avocado exports hit 72,000 tons, and currently we are among the top 10 largest exporters of the commodity globally and first in Africa.
