Here is How Fifa Will Distribute Prize Money Among 2022 World Cup Teams

However, from the start of the tournament, some teams were not lucky enough to pass the group stages.

Despite being kicked out of the tournament, the teams are expected not to walk away empty-handed.

According to FIFA, there is a share of 440 million dollars prize package that will be shared among all participating teams.

These teams include Ghana, Cameroon, Tunisia, Qatar, Eqaudor, Wales, Iran, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Germany, Coasta Rica, Canada and Belgium.

Teams that were knocked out at the round of 16 will receive 13 million dollars each. These teams includes USA, Australia, Poland, Senegal, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland and Spain.

Further, any team that proceeds to the Quarter finals will pocket USD 17 million. The fourth-placed team bags 25 million dollars, third-place finishers go home USD 27 million richer.

The runners up team is set to take home USD 30 million while the winners will pocket a staggering USD42m.
