Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition under the stewardship of opposition leader Raila Odinga have vowed not to participate in expected by-elections across the country.The by-election are expected to be conducted in Kakaemaga County, Elgeyo Marakwet for the Senators position, Garissa Township and Kandara for the positions of Member of Parliament.
These positions became vacant following the appointment of Kakamega Senator Moses Wetang'ula to the position of speaker of National Assembly, Elgeyo-Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen for Cabinet Secretary Transport, Alice Wahome former Kandara MP for CS Irrigation and Adan Duale former Garissa Towship for the Defence ministry.
According to Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, all these by-elections are going to be boycotted by Azimio until Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) Wafula Chebukati is out of office.
He went ahead to accuse Chebukati of being used by the government of Kenya Kwanza in allegedly making sure that its candidates carries the day just like he allegedly did with the August General elections.
